Novacultie found only in the Washita Mt. Range near Hot Springs. These pictures are of the rock (Novaculite) that Arkansas stones are cut from. After tons of material is removed to expose the vein that this sediment rock lies.

Washita Soft

Washita Soft Arkansas stones are cut from this type rock. Even though it a softer stone more abrasive than our standard soft Arkansas it will produce an extremly sharp edge.

Standard Soft Arkansas

This stone creates a standard soft Arkansas that is not as abrasive as the Washita soft but will still result in a fast cutting of your edge.

Hard Arkansas Stones

Hard Arkansas is an excellant choice due to the virsatilaty of a semi abrasive finishing stone.

Black Arkansas One of the Hardest Natural Stones

The Black Arkansas rated Ultra Fine due to it's extreme hardenes is second to no other Natural Stone. The Translucent being in a tie for firs place. This rock yeilds one of the finest finishing stones in the World.

Black Arkansas are used in a variety of ways, from a finishing/polishing stone, to a gold test stone.

Translucent Arkansas

The Translucent Stones are the hardest to come by. They are not only scarce but have more fault lines than the other types of stones. This rock probably doesn't yeild but about 25% first grade stones per tone of material handled. Maybe even less that.
